  1. Charise Preston says:

Love your vanilla post!! I did have a ? About the labels for the extract. Am I able to add my name on the labels before printing them or just handwrite after the labels are printed? Just wondering if i need photoshop to add text. Thanks!!

    • Casey says:

Hi Charise! You can do either! If you are handwriting them be sure to use a waterproof marker and write them before you apply the label to the bottle!

  2. Petra says:

what a wonderful idea!! thanx so much for the prints!!! best from greece xxx

  3. Alisha says:

I never thought it would be so easy! I love the idea using flavored vodka. How long do you recommended they “marinate” before using? Thank you for sharing this!

    • Casey says:

Yep! After I learned about this recipe I will never buy store bought vanilla extract again! I would let it infuse for at least a month, the longer the better. Our wedding was in May 2013 and we made ours I believe in very early 2013. You can swish it around every week or so to keep the infusing going. Good luck!

  4. Abbey says:

So cute!! I am planning on making homemade vanilla as Christmas gifts this year. I tried to open your labels to use myself, but it says the link is unavailable now? Is there any way to get that again? I LOVE how cute you made them!!

    • Casey says:

Hey Abbey! Can you try the link again? I think the folder may have been moved on my server. Enjoy!

p.s. I’m enjoying your blog, we have a little boy due in March and I love your updates!

  5. This is such a beautiful idea. Thinking about a homemade goodie basket as this year’s Christmas gift. I use the Infinity Jar for storage. Love the premium quality bottles and they keep everything fresh for longer! Hope it is going to be a hit with your recipe. Thank you.
