A branding project is about to come to life soon! One of my previous clients, Hangers Couture, came to me recently for branding for her new children’s line. Three Little Anchors is a collection of swaddles and accessories for infants. The owner wanted the look of her new brand to been clean, crisp and have a hint of nautical.
The branding board images I chose have a nautical influence, neutral color palettes and focuse on little ones in cozy and warm apparel. Who could resist a newborn snuggled in a gray knit swaddle and hat?
After the first two phases were completed, a brand inspiration board was presented. The purpose of the inspiration board is to convey the look and feel of the brand without having yet developed logo concepts. A collection of images, logo samples and color swatches were put together into a brand board.
One of the reasons I truly love the branding experience is because I have a strong ability to be able to connect with my clients and understand their vision. After reading the Branding Design Questionnaire my client completed, I knew exactly the look she wanted for her branding.
It didn’t take long for me to pull together some inspirational images on our Pinterest Collaboration board. This was my client’s reaction to the Pinterest board I sent over:
“I looked at the Pinterest board and I have no idea what to add, you nailed everything on the head!”
How awesome is it to hear that from a client? Words like that make me so happy I get to do what I do for a living.
