I’ve created many landing pages on my Showit website, some even rank #1 on Google🥇. Keep reading for my best tips on how to create an affiliate landing page that boost your income on auto-pilot!
What is Affiliate Marketing?
Affiliate marketing is a way to earn a commission when you refer a sale to a company. You’ll need to be enrolled in the company’s affiliate program and use a specific link that tracks your referral. Once a customer signs up using your link, you earn a commission.
Who Can Become an Affiliate?
Depending on the rules of the company’s affiliate program, almost anyone can sign up. Typically it’s required that you have a business website or a social media account to prove you have a method for sharing content. Some affiliates are more exclusive and you must be a customer in order to join their program.
Bloggers and influencers have the most potential for earning income as an affiliate marketer since they generate a lot of content. Other types of businesses such as coaches, consultants, designers, photographers, virtual assistants, social media managers, bookkeepers, health and cosmetology and many other kinds of entrepreneurs can also take part in affiliate marketing by sharing their recommendations.
How to Create a Strategic Affiliate Marketing Landing Page
1. Create a New Page in Showit
Having a dedicated landing page for your affiliate link will help to increase your chances of being found on the first page of Google. It’s important that you name the page with SEO-friendly words such as “Flodesk Review”, “Honeybook Coupon Code” or “Canva Review – Pros & Cons”
2. Put Your First Affiliate Link Above The Page Fold
The very first section of your affiliate landing page in Showit should include a button with a clear and strong call to action (CTA) at the top of the page before having to scroll.
3. List Out Product/Service Benefits
If you treat your sales page like it’s the very first time your customer is hearing about the service or product you’re promoting, you’ll have a higher conversion. List out all of the product benefits in a clear and concise list (using bullet points or checkmarks).
4. Share Your Own Personal Experience
Practice what you preach when it comes to affiliate marketing and you’ll earn trust and respect from your customers. Detail your own experience with the product or service you’re promoting and be honest about what you liked, didn’t like and how it changed your life or your business. Share your results whether it be before and after photos, charts, reports or statistics that prove this product will work for them just like it worked for you.
5. Comparison Chart
In many instances, a customer is deciding between multiple products or services and they need an easy to understand comparison. Talk about competitors and why your affiliate is a better choice.
6. SEO-Friendly Copy and Text Tags
Be sure to use a H1 tag on your page (only once) and multiple H2 and H3 text tags for seo-friendly headlines. You can use tools like Semrush and Ahrefs to keyword generation to help you write content that will get your page seen on Google.
7. Create a Special Offer
Depending on the terms between you and your affiliate, you may be able to offer a coupon code just for your readers. Some affiliates will fill you in on a special promotion they’re offering, such as a Black Friday sale. You should update your affiliate sale page with their current offer to help boost your conversions.
8. Craft Your SEO Settings in Showit
While your page name and text tags are important for SEO, don’t forget to write a strategically SEO-friendly page title and description over in the SEO settings module in Showit.
9. FAQs Section
Depending on the product or service you’re writing about, you may want to add a FAQs section to your sales affiliate page. This is a great place to address any common concerns or questions your customers may have.
‼️ Don’t forget to disclose at the top of your page that you’re an affiliate partner and you’ll earn a commission if your customer purchases through your link.
