One of the most fun parts I had in planning our wedding was the wedding cake table. I knew I wanted a simple and chic wedding cake and I was totally inspired by a photo I found of Whole Food’s signature berry chantilly cake. The cake topper was one of the first things I purchased for our wedding. I came across the shop Better of Wed on Etsy and purchased it immediately!
I wanted to add some fun to the cake table and decided to make my own printable bunting that read “EAT ❤ CAKE”. Since you obviously can’t print white ink, setup the files by putting a white letter over a kraft paper pattern background and printed each letter onto white paper. I then glued each page onto a thick kraft paper. When I trimmed the paper into a bunting shape it looked like I had simply printed white into onto kraft paper!
Next I punched two holes at the top of each bunting in order to string through the natural jute string. I thought I would have to make a knot near each hole to keep the buntings from sliding around, but since the string was so rough it all stayed in place! I also made sure to leave plenty of string on each end for tying. In the case of my wedding, I safety pinned the ends to the tablecloth.
I’ve made a PDF for you of the same printable I used for my wedding! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did – please feel free to comment below if you have any trouble or questions!
