For years I struggled with posting photos of myself for my business. The pictures I had didn’t feel professional enough and they weren’t matching the vision that I had in my head.
I bet you can relate. ????
Then, I finally hired a professional brand photographer and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my business!
Branding photos are essential if you plan to get your business noticed.
If you can only do one thing to improve your brand right now, it should be professional brand portraits.
Let’s make sure your session gets you the knockout photos you’ve been dying for.
Here’s what you can do to prepare…
1. Create an Inspiration Board
Before I booked a photographer I put together a secret board on Pinterest of inspirational brand photos. You can share your board with the photographer you hire so that she can get a visual idea of what you are looking for.
2. Plan the Details
Weeks before your branding photo session you should be planning out the location, props and your wardrobe.
Plan for at least two wardrobe changes during your shoot. It’s important to have a variety of looks so that all of your images don’t look the same.
And we’re looking for any excuse to buy new clothes, am I right?
5. Practice Everything
Before your big day do a run through and practice using your props and wardrobe. Look at yourself in a full length mirror and try out some poses that you like.
6. The Day of the Shoot
Getting yourself into a mindset is so important.
You deserve this photo shoot, your business deserves this.
Listen to any music that gets you psyched.
Do something special for yourself that day like get a manicure or a blowout. Ok, maybe both 😀
Lastly, have fun! Enjoy this moment because it will come across in your photos.
