You may be thinking… do I really need a Welcome Kit for my business? If you work directly with clients, the answer most likely is yes.
After taking a workshop with Nesha Woolery, I decided to add a Welcome Kit to my business process. The objective of the Welcome Kit was to provide my clients with an informative guide about how their project would be run and also to give them a warm and friendly welcoming.
Nesha’s course really helped to outline what sections would be beneficial for my Welcome Packet. Putting myself in my client’s shoes, and thinking about the questions my clients ask most often helped me to figure out what content should be in my Welcome Kit.
The first step in creating a Welcome Kit for your business is to outline the sections you want to include.
Some of those section may include:
Introduction
Getting Started/Steps/Phases
How We Communicate
Process
Payments & Deadlines
How to Provide Feedback
FAQs
After you outline the sections you want to include, start writing your content. Again, try to think about questions you’re commonly asked by your clients and how you can help better inform your clients so that they don’t get confused about the project.
Once you’ve written the content for your Welcome Kit, it’s time to put it all together into a presentation. I send my clients a PDF in an email. You could also send them a link to a PDF presentation.
I’ve created a stylish and professional Welcome Kit Canva template you can grab from the template shop! Just like the Welcome Kit I use for my clients, this editable Canva template is easy to customize and will make your business look as polished and professional as you really are.
