Instagram stories are an important feature every brand should use. Have you ever noticed all of the most interesting content in the feeds you follow are in the stories? I have!
In this post I’m sharing 5 Free Instagram Story templates that I designed to help you connect and engage with your audience.
What are Instagram Stories
The stories feature on Instagram is a really cool way for you to share videos, go live, ask questions, run a poll, share posts and add graphics that are only available for 24 hours.
Why are Instagram Stories So Good for Brands
While posts in your main feed are intended to be permanent, stories are only seen for 24 hours. This means you can share with your audience without having to commit to a post that you may not want to keep in your main feed. More and more brands are using stories to connect with their audience in a more personal and engaging way.
Since stories only last 24 hours, it takes a lot of time and effort to stay on top of adding fresh content. That’s why I created 5 chic and feminine Instagram Story templates you can use in your own stories!

How to Schedule Instagram stories
Because I’m a busy mom and business owner, I try to plan all of my social media content in advance. I love pouring a big glass of wine and spending an evening scheduling out all of my Instagram posts. I use Planoly to plan my Instagram grid and even schedule my stories.
Planning out my stories with Planoly is a huge help because I don’t always have time to think of something to share on a whim.
A Few Final Tips
Don’t be afraid to repost the same stories every now and then. As your audience grows, there are followers who haven’t seen all of your stories.
You can add stories that are beneficial to your brand by adding them to your highlights (click the heart icon on your story).
You can add hashtags to your stories to get your stories seen by more people.
Try to always keep your stories fresh. If your stories feed is empty, make sure you have something scheduled to back it up.
