What is a lead magnet?
A lead magnet is a free download your audience receives in exchange for their email address. The intention of a lead magnet is to offer a sampling of your knowledge, skills and expertise in some way that will benefit your audience.
The lead magnet can be in the form of a PDF, spreadsheet, images Canva template or whichever format works best for your lead magnet.
Why do I need to have a lead magnet?
Having a lead magnet is a great way to build your email list and give your audience a sampling of what it’s like to work with you.
How often do you sign up for an email newsletter without some type of download or information in exchange for your email address? Not too often I’m guessing.
How do I create a lead magnet for my coaching business?
The first step to creating your lead magnet is choosing a topic. Keep scrolling for the list of 52 irresistible lead magnet ideas.
Once you decide a topic, you can begin outlining your lead magnet content. I like to format my lead magnets like this:
Cover page (Title of lead magnet)
Introduction (Introduce yourself)
Main content (This is the information that you’re giving away. It can be in the format of a fillable PDF, calendar, bulleted list, graph/chart – whatever best fits your content)
Closing statement/Offer (Share a service or product you offer that will help or an offer to book a call to work together)
Canva is a great tool for creating your next lead magnet. I use Canva for almost all of my designs because it’s so easy to use.
If you need a place to store your lead magnet, I like to use Google Drive.
