Setting up a shop on your Showit website is a great way to use your website to earn extra income. With Showit you can customize your product and shop pages to create a one of kind shop experience for your customers.
First, you’ll need to figure out which service you’ll want to use for your transactions since ecommerce is not built into Showit. I’ll walk you through exactly how to choose an ecommerce platform and setup your product and shop pages on Showit so you can start making sales instantly.
Choosing an Ecommerce Platform for Showit
Since ecommerce is not built directly into Showit, you have the option to choose your own ecommerce platform to integrate into your Showit website.
While the shopping experience will take place on your Showit website, the checkout and shopping cart will take place on a 3rd party site. Here are some ecommerce platforms we’ll discuss as possible pairings with your Showit website.
To setup your shop pages on your Showit site, you’ll first want to create a shop landing page and a product detail template. You’ll also want to add a link to your shop in your navigation and a link to a shopping cart page.
Think of your shop page as a mini website where you can introduce people to your amazing products. Here are some sections you may want to consider adding to your shop page, and some examples of shop page templates available in the Showit template shop.

Another page you’ll want to create is your product detail page. This is the page where someone will view an individual product and can choose to add the product to their cart and complete the transaction.
A high-converting product page is what will take your shop from $0 in sales to hundreds, even thousands of dollars in revenue! It’s essential that you showcase all the benefits your product has to offer and detail how your product is different and how it can help your customer.
Here’s what you’ll want to include on your product detail page to help make it high-converting:

A well written, SEO-friendly product description
