Setting up a shop on your Showit website is a great way to use your website to earn extra income. With Showit you can customize your product and shop pages to create a one of kind shop experience for your customers.
First, you’ll need to figure out which service you’ll want to use for your transactions since ecommerce is not built into Showit. I’ll walk you through exactly how to choose an ecommerce platform and setup your product and shop pages on Showit so you can start making sales instantly.
Since ecommerce is not built directly into Showit, you have the option to choose your own ecommerce platform to integrate into your Showit website.
While the shopping experience will take place on your Showit website, the checkout and shopping cart will take place on a 3rd party site. Here are some ecommerce platforms we’ll discuss as possible pairings with your Showit website.

To setup your shop pages on your Showit site, you’ll first want to create a shop landing page and a product detail template. You’ll also want to add a link to your shop in your navigation and a link to a shopping cart page.
Think of your shop page as a mini website where you can introduce people to your amazing products. Here are some sections you may want to consider adding to your shop page, and some examples of shop page templates available in the Showit template shop.
Another page you’ll want to create is your product detail page. This is the page where someone will view an individual product and can choose to add the product to their cart and complete the transaction.
A high-converting product page is what will take your shop from $0 in sales to hundreds, even thousands of dollars in revenue! It’s essential that you showcase all the benefits your product has to offer and detail how your product is different and how it can help your customer.
Here’s what you’ll want to include on your product detail page to help make it high-converting:
Depending on the ecommerce platform you choose to use, you’ll need to finish setting up your shop over on that site.
You can use Shopify to add ecommerce to your Showit website by signing up for the Starter plan. This allows you to use Showit as your shop website, and use Shopify to create your product catalog and complete the transactions.

ThriveCart is a powerful shopping cart software that offers incredible features to help boost your checkout conversions. You can create upsells, downsells, funnels, payment plans and even customize the look of your cart page.

WooCommerce is a free option for creating an ecommerce store with your Showit website. *You will need the Advanced WordPress plan with your Showit account.* WooCommerce is a plugin you can install in your WordPress site.
With Showit and WooCommerce, you’ll need to utilize the Blog Template pages on your site, meaning all of your content will be added to your shop through the WordPress site of your site. You can visit this tutorial over on Showit where they walk you through how to setup your product page templates.
PayPal is a free way to add a simple BUY NOW button to your product page on your Showit website. All that’s required is a PayPal account and you can use this with the most basic Showit plan. Just copy the button code and embed it into your product page.

While Showit wasn’t built specifically for ecommerce, there are plenty of options you can utilize to add products to your site. I’ve been using Showit for my own website since 2020 and I’ve had thousands of online sales, all thanks to the versatility of ThriveCart.
